Why is it that after years of studying something as a child, we forget later in life what we learned? Such is the common question of how to play piano despite years of lesson. Here i get you back to playing music even if you think you've lost it, and have begun to give up on how to play piano despite years of lesson.

First, realize that you have had lesson in piano, years of it perhaps, and that DOES count for a whole lot. How to play piano despite years of lesson entails mentally realizing that you really are only a step or two away from being able to play piano. The problem is that it seems like that first step is a big hurdle, and obviously a frustrating one having already had lesson, but unable to play.

Second: Start slow, do scales. Get the basic scales out and go through them. It took me actually having to number my keyboard at first, i had forgotten so much. From there i was able to translate the numbers to notes, and the scales began to get familiar. So often in trying to figure how to play piano despite years of lesson we don't want to succumb back to the simple things. This scale practice is also preparation for the next step.

Third. Twinkle twinkle little star. That's correct. I can't think of a better way to get back in the game and figure how to play piano despite years of lesson than to go back to a simple melody or song and start playing it over and over. This connects everything - the notes, fingerings, melody and sound - all together as one, and the simplest route is by practicing a simple children's song. Again the hardest part is going to mentally get over the hurdle of playing little kids songs when you "feel" as if you should be playing grander pieces. But if one wants to get to grander pieces and answer the question of how to play piano despite years of lesson, then one has to bite the bullet and get back to raw basics.

Finally, one should research new ways of learning to play piano! Since most people last took lessons years ago, they may not realize that new methods or techniques have come out that can cut to the chase much more clearly and quickly than before. From teachers to online courses, there are different outlets and methods to now explore while realizing how to play piano despite years of lesson is definitely an achievable goal!

Quick and Easy Piano learning methods do now exist. Check out http://www.squidoo.com/easy-piano-play/ for Chess's blog to further find out how to play piano despite years of lesson. Thanks so much for reading and feel free to check out http://www.squidoo.com/easy-piano-play/ Thanks!

" Coldplay " : Guest Spot for Flute (Guest Spot)

Obtain an effective quality guitar

Obviously you have to own a guitar. The best ones are Fender because that is what David Gilmour uses (Pink Floyd guitarist). David Gilmour uses a Fender Stratocaster which are quite expensive but you can buy a Fender Strat which are cheaper, over 100 or $200.

Before you start to play, tune your guitar strings. Electronic tuners are inexpensive. Get one.

Get some guitar effects, Gilmour does why not you!

It is best to obtain some extra effects such as reverb, distortion or gain and maybe some chorus or delay. Your playing will sound more pleasing to the ear, fun and professional.

Get hold of Pink Floyd Guitar tablature

Find some Pink Floyd Guitar tabs or sheet music by searching online. To save you time, the best site is Pink Floyd Guitar because it consists of lessons and doesn't just give you the tab and leave you to it. The address is located in the Resource box below. Pick your Pink Floyd guitar tab for your chosen song and try and pick a simpler song to start off.

Get the feel for the music

Listen to the Pink Floyd song the one that you hope to play. Hear how it sounds and get the feel for it. Concentrate on different layers of music provided by the different instruments, however, you are playing the guitar parts.

Play your Pink Floyd guitar tab

Play slowly at first, gradually improving your speed. Listen to the solo slowly and learn to play along. Some media players allow you to digitally slow down the tempo of a song without changing the pitch. Start learning the tablature. Learn one measure at a time, one line at a time. You do not need to learn an entire song on your first try. Play for a minimum of 10-15 minutes per day with one day off each week.

Allow time to improve. Don't get discouraged if you play poorly on certain days. Everyone has bad days. Start simple and gradually move to complex.

Play against a backing track

Play your Pink Floyd guitar tab over a backing track. These are available from monthly guitar magazines. Also maybe online somewhere.

Record yourself playing the Pink Floyd guitar tab

You do this by downloading or purchasing music software or just use the recorder on you pc but you would need a mic, however, they are very cheap.

Why not play it in a band!!

Have fun.

The more artistically minded might consider arts and crafts, clowning, drama, photography, or dance to be important elements of having a well-rounded camp experience. Camps often focus on specialties that include: adventure, art, computer, dance, music, religion, horse riding, sports, theatre, and many others. The variety of camps available today is almost innumerable, meaning there will be some specialized camps that may have availability left even into the summer.

An overnight summer camp is a supervised program for children and teens conducted during the summer months in most countries; children and teens, called campers, who attend camp, participate in a variety of activities, many of which are special interest. There are overnight summer camps with a focus on self-improvement, weight loss and grief counseling. Basically, if you can think of any subject of interest, there's probably a camp that specializes in it.

The camp you choose for your child will provide a lifetime of good memories and will be truly rewarding. Special needs camps meet the needs of a wide range of children with disabilities; these camps provide an outdoor summer camp experience along with a therapeutic environment. There are overnight summer camps that are co-ed camps, boy's camps, girl's camps or brother-sister camps where boys and girls may have separate venues and activities.

Specialty overnight camps can range from $500 to $1000 per week depending on the program. Try to determine whether the director incorporates a similar philosophy to running the camp as you do in parenting your child or children. Four weeks at a good private overnight summer camp or sleepaway camp will cost anywhere from $3500 to $6500, and eight weeks will range from $4000 to $7000.

There are many types of overnight summer camps with a focus on education that cater to students with differing ages and academic interests. Get to know the camp director from an in-person visit to your home if possible, phone conversations, email or other correspondence. The reputation of an overnight summer camp can also be determined by asking what percentage of counselors returned from the previous year.

Children will get more individual attention and supervision with a lower number of campers per counselor. Do you think, if you have more than one child, they would they benefit from attending the same summer camp together? Consider these industry-recommended guidelines - for smaller children ages 7 and 8, there should be one counselor for every six campers; by age 15, there should be one counselor for every 10 campers.

The best overnight summer sports camps do much more than just improve a camper's soccer, tennis, lacrosse, or wrestling skills - they help each child become a more skillful athlete, a more gracious competitor, a more committed team player, and a more confident person. At camp would it benefit your child more if he or she interacted more with the opposite gender? Children or teens could typically explore subjects new to them like marine science, photography, creative writing, community service, drama, magic, scuba diving, video production, comic book design, crime scene forensics, cooking, yoga, rappelling, etc.

If you think there's a possibility you might have to cancel an overnight summer camp reservation, camper's insurance would be a good idea. If you find a traditional overnight summer camp or sleepaway camp that's not the right fit, or an expense that isn't possible at this place in time, rest assured that there are other options that can keep your child occupied throughout the summer. If you think your child may not be ready for a sleepaway or overnight summer camp, choose a local camp in case you end up having to make a late night pickup in the event he or she gets homesick. Choosing a camp close to home will save a lot of money on airfare and possible hotel or motel overnight stays for a parent, or other transportation costs; this is especially true if your child might get a case of homesickness and want to come home early from the overnight summer camp.

Coldplay - Live 2003 (DVD & CD)

The two-disc set includes a 90-minute, nine-camera, super 16 live shoot taken from their July 21 and 22, 2003 performances at the Horden Pavilion in Sydney, Australia, as well as band commentary, a never before broadcast behind-the-scenes documentary, a special tour diary and the edited audio CD. The DVD and CD will also include two PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED live tracks- "The One I Love" and "Moses."
Customer Review: The best concert I never went to!!
I got the Coldplay 2003 DVD as a birthday present in '04. Coldplay's my favorite band, so you can imagine my excitement. Back in the days, I never thought I could ever be in a real concert of the band, I lived too far away from any place they toured. Almost four years later, I still think the DVD was the best concert in my life. That is, taking into consideration that I went to see them, against all odds, in NYC in 2006. It's not that the concert was bad, it was one of the best days in my life. It's that to me, the DVD is so good that I can't get enough of it. The band plays perfectly, the connection with the crowd is real, the choice of songs is fantastic, the sound is epic, the transitions that go along with songs, including colors, angles and views of the crowd and the band are nothing but exciting and bright. If there's any DVD I would ever recommend, it's this one. It's the closest you'll come to live the Coldplay experience if you haven't got the chance to live it already.
Customer Review: Wow. That's all I have to say.
Not only is the music CD great, but the DVD packs quite the punch. The only tiny thing that bugged me was how the CD didn't have every song off of the DVD, but I guess that's what makes the DVD that much better. If you like Coldplay, but this DVD, you will not regret it. Best $20 musical purchase I've made in a long time.

THE KAISER CHIEFS - Employment - Black T-shirt

Brand New, never worn 100% cotton front print black Authentic KAISER CHIEFS T-shirt.

As we usher in the Year of the Pig, the divine beauty of the ancient East will come to life in NYC with the now legendary NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular! The 30-city world tour Spectacular will play at Radio City from February 14 17.

Featuring the best of Chinese culture and world-class performers, this unique show portrays genuine traditional Chinese culture and includes classical Chinese dance as well as various traditional dances. Performers have worked hard to emulate the musical style of the ancientsclassical melodies filled with the power of compassion. Showcasing grand stage designs, hand-painted backdrops and authentic costuming from ancient Chinese Dynasties, the theme of Myths and Legends weaves a tale of the proverbial battle between good and evil through theatre, music and dance.

NTDTVs main goal is to revive lost Chinese culture from the ancient past. As you may be aware, in 1949 when the Chinese Communist Party took power in China, its leaders did everything possible to sever the people from their 5,000-year-old culture. Everything moral and spiritual was suddenly uprooted from people's lives--temples and buddhas were destroyed. The arts became a tool for fulfilling political aims, evoking the dark side of human nature. China's folk music was used to serve the communist revolution.

Unfortunately, those born after 1949 have opened their eyes to a spiritual desert. They are no longer familiar with their own heritage, which has been decimated and replaced with the communist-atheist model.

Judging by the growth and success of the Chinese New Year Spectacular, now in its fourth year, I believe that NTDTV has lived up to its word. The Spectacular really does have the effect of removing the communist "wrapping paper" around the essence of traditional Chinese values and beauty. It is not surprising that the show ranked 7th on Billboard Magazines top 10 shows in Feb 2006 based on ticket sales for the 2006 shows at Radio City Music Hall.

The Spectacular is a delight to Chinese and Western audiences alikea truly heartwarming event not to be missed. The Chinese New Year Spectacular is the best show ever to appear on stage in North America, said former member of Parliament Simma Holt. I saw the show in Canada and I would like to say to the Chinese Consulate officials, who made a statement saying that the show is political, the fact that some of the atrocities committed by the Chinese regime were re-enacted in the show is nothing unusual; interpretative dance is a feature of all great symphonies, operas and ballets.

Makina Liu is an Arts student living in Canada. For more info aboutthe NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular in your city/area, please visit:http://shows.ntdtv.com

Latin Thug - 4 Life Ash - T-Shirt

For all the ubiquity of post-punk inspired bands flooding the mainstream over recent years, the amount of truly innovative music they have collectively produced has been disappointing by comparison. It's not difficult to see why; the original class of 78-82 set the bar high and bequeathed one of the most astonishingly imaginative musical legacies ever - a lavish cross-pollination that embraced punk, disco, dub reggae, funk, glam and krautrock to often dizzying extremes. And while some of these acts (Talking Heads, Wire) have become touchstones for a generation of indie kids, other key players (Associates, Magazine) have proved simply too rich to rob - talents so 'out there' as to defy influence.

It's a willingness to experiment, both musically and technologically, that's been missing of late. All the aforementioned artists broke new ground in the studio and, in their own ways, redefined what the pop single could be - mental but magnificent, yet still within detection of the Smash Hits radar. Certainly, the likes of Franz Ferdinand and Maximo Park have produced top-notch material in recent years but, worryingly, little new ground has been broken and the 30-year-old model remains the blueprint.

Thank flip, then, for Foals and their wonderful new album, Antidotes. Ostensibly, given their youth, NME-darling status and oft-mentioned Skins appearance, it would be easy to dismiss this Oxford bunch as yet more spiky-guitar-driven, jerky vocal, Gang of Four wannabes. Not so. Foals have ambition by the truckload and, while their influences are clearly apparent, they've applied them in new and unpredictable ways. And finally, thrillingly, over a decade after Oasis single-handedly kicked the cack out of musical progression, here's a guitar band that's clearly in love with the studio, electronics and the notion of stretching possibility.

The singles Cassius and Balloons are perfectly formed pop confections that, like with all the best albums, only scratch the surface of the whole. African-influenced guitars abound but it's the concise drive and restrained neurosis that strikes, as well as the arresting use of saxophone (think Mirror In The Bathroom rather than Baker Street). The album's true heart lies deeper, however, and the tension is released throughout Antidotes at several key moments, so when everyone stops to admire the beautiful view they've created, - the heart-rending chorus of Red Sock Pugie; the gentle ascent of Big, Big Love (vaguely reminiscent of Unforgettable Fire-era U2) - it's exhilarating.

At last, the noughties have their own Fear of Music, Chairs Missing or Fourth Drawer Down - a record driven by an impulse to create something new, where musical dexterity is of secondary importance to the idea, but still retaining one foot on the dance floor. Yes, that good.
